Anti-Christ
Many Bible students are now saying there is to be a person come into power over the whole world who will be known as “THE ANTICHRIST.”There will never be another world ruler until Christ returns to assume ruler ship of the whole world.
The metallic man image of Daniel 2 represents a key to interpreting all Bible prophecy. God gave the interpretation of this dream, it is up to us to believe what he says.
“But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;” (Daniel 2: 28).
“Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.“This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
“His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
“Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
“Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth” (Daniel 2:31-35).
GOD gives the interpretation:
The kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome one after the other began to rule in this world. We are in the toes and feet of this image of the Roman time. Next is the kingdom of our Saviour Jesus Christ. So there can be only one more world ruler and that is Christ!“This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation
thereof before the king.“Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
“And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
“And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
“And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
“And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
“And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
“And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
“Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure” (Daniel 2:36-45).
There was an expectation of the coming of antichrist during the time of the Apostles. In 1st John 2:18 we read there were already antichrists in the world at that time:
Those looking for an antichrist that will rule the world ignore the explanation the Bible gives and accepts the explanation of men. They quote 2 Thess 2:3-10:“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time” (1 John 2:18).History proves that when persecutions of the followers of Christ began [Dark Ages], there was a great “falling away” and the “man of sin” (papacy) was revealed.“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;“Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
“Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
“And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved” (2 Thessalonians 2: 3-10).
“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time” (Daniel 7:25).
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:The fourth command of the Ten Commandments was changed in the seventh century by the Roman church from the seventh day proclaimed by God as an holy day, a memorial to creation, and a day of rest, to the “venerable day of the sun” the first day, which was pronounced as a day of rest. A person was required then to work on the true sabbath (seventh day) under pain of death. Many true Christians (approximately 50 million) lost their lives enduring horrid deaths. (See Fox's Book of Martyrs, Dowling's History of Romanism. and the old official Catholic encyclopedia.)
This power also changed the 2nd commandment so they could fool the people into worshiping graven images.
This man of sin was one that would claim he was the representative of God on earth and claim indeed that he was God. In other words he would assume to have the power of God on earth
All the vile things of Paganism was gradually brought into this “religion” (Sunday, Christmas, Easter, Lent, Halloween to name a few). They “baptized” them into the church they called “Christian” by giving them names associated with the Church Christ established.
All so-called Christian churches that do not follow all the teachings of the Bible follow this apostate church in some way, and are the “daughters” of the great apostate church mentioned in Revelation 17:4-6.
“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration” (Revelation 17:4-6).
There were Jewish antichrists in the time of the Apostles, just as there are still antichrists both Jewish and Gentile. To find out if that statesmen is true, we must first find out what is an antiChrist? What does it mean? How many are there in the world? What does the Bible say. Just because we think something does not make it so.According to Strong's Concordance antichrist means: “An opponent of the Messiah.”
In 1st. John 2:18 we find there were a lot of antichrists in the time of the Apostles:
In 2nd. John 1:7 we learn how to recognize an antiChrist:“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time” (1 John 2:18).
John 1:14: “The Word was made flesh.”“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”
We hear ministers saying “God died for us.” It is the claim of antichrists that Jesus was both God and man. “Flesh” is mortal, God is immortal. How can one being be both? By God's word the holy spirit which came down from God ("Jesus came down from heaven" John 3:13: And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.") was made flesh [mortal]. He could not be flesh if he was a God. It is impossible for a true God to die after possessing immortality. He could not be the son of David and Abraham and preexist them.Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Rev 19:13: And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Luke 1:35: And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.; Rom 1:4: And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Jesus, in John 8:39,40, said:
If Jesus was God, he would not have “heard” truth from God, he would have known it. Man is flesh, the “word was made flesh” not mortal and immortal! Jesus said he was a man that told them the truth. The Word was in God from the beginning; then by the Holy Spirit (God's Power), the Word was made flesh (mortal). The Holy Spirit made God's Word flesh in Mary’s womb (begotten—started the seed to grow).“They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.”He was the last Adam (Adam: a human being: #120 Hebrew Dictionary) See 1 Cor. 15:45,46; Rom 8:29: "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." The title of "firstborn" was taken from Adam because of sin and given to the last Adam. Both were the sons of God. Adam was created from dust with no mother or father. Christ was made of a woman, and with the power of God, the seed received life and grew as any baby grows that had a human father. God is a spirit, not a man. See Gal. 4:4; Gen 3:15: God made his Son, the seed of a woman of the lineage of David.
Did man preexist just because God said he foreknew man? (Rom 8:29)
Did Christ preexist when Rev 13:8 said: "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."? Of course we know Christ died in the end times. We also know God and Christ often spoke of things that was to happen as if they had already happened as in John 3:13; Rev 13:8.Jesus and God were one, just as we, as followers of Jesus, are “one” with him and other believers; but we are not all one person.
“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:” (John 17:21).
Jesus was tempted—God cannot be tempted:
Jesus did not know when he was to return to earth, he admitted he only knew what God taught him. If we refuse to believe his own words (that he was a man and therefore was flesh) then we are an antichrist. See 2nd. John 1:7:“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:” (James 1:13).Notice it does not say Father—Son. It is speaking of two individuals: the Father and the Son. It is evident that Jesus is just what the Scriptures declare him to be, and no more, viz, “The Son of God.” conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, the Lamb of God, and sacrificed on Calvary for the sins of the whole world.“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son” (1st John 2:22).
We cannot enter the glorious Kingdom of God if we do not have a love of the truth. It cannot be truth if the Bible seems to contradict itself. Study the word it must harmonize to be truth. The devil has many deceivers in this world, but the promise is that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth if we will but study and ask the father to give us the understanding. Eternal life is but a study away if you let God lead you. May you have lots of pleasure in the study of God's word.“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23, 24).
